Smart Central, the leading provider of childcare software solutions, will be releasing a new Reply function that promises to make parent-centre communication more efficient and effective.

The Reply function allows parents to reply directly to emails and other communications from their child's educators, and their responses will be automatically tracked on the parent's file.

"The goal is to make sure that every parent reply is recorded and available to the centre, so nothing gets lost in inboxes or spam folders," said Smart Central Managing Director Darryl Winder.

"This will help administrators and educators stay on top of parent communication and ensure they're always aware of what's going on with children in their care."

The new Reply function is just one of the many ways Smart Central makes it easier for parents to stay connected with their child's education.

Other recent innovations include a mobile app that gives parents real-time access to their child's daily schedule, learning activities, and more.

"We're always looking for ways to make our products more user-friendly and accessible for both centres and parents," said Darryl.

"Our goal is to leverage technology to make life easier for everyone involved in early childhood education."

How can I access the Reply function?

Administrators can trigger emails from several different screens within Smart Central:

  • Daily Roll
  • Parents list
  • Enrolments
  • Immunisations, MMP & Epipen

SC Immnunisation Page

When emails are sent, an admin has the option to select “Record as notes on file.”

SC Send Emails Page

This option will include a link with the message for the parent to acknowledge and reply.

The parent receives the link via email and the app. Note that the service must be switched to the new app for app acknowledgment.

Clicking the link opens the reply screen. The parent clicks, and the note is posted onto the parent’s record with the time and date.
